M GOO is a co-operative comprising; Tony Korycki - a songwriter and keyboard player, working solo and collaborating with musicians since the 1980's, mostly in Rock and Jazz genres, with Bryan Glutting - a musician and vibraphone player, based in Atlanta, GA. Together the M GOO co-operative forms the duo; Cognitive Dissonance.
What is Cognitive Dissonance ? Is it “a mental conflict when beliefs in assumptions are contradicted by new information, or… an anxiety resulting from simultaneously holding incompatible attitudes, or … a condition of conflict or anxiety resulting from inconsistency between one’s beliefs and one’s actions …”? Well, yes it is. But it’s also … a musical partnership between two semi-professional musicians, who’ve teamed up to explore the unique interaction between piano and vibraphone first pioneered by Corea and Burton (although we’d never claim that level of virtuosity). Cognitive Dissonance is a mad project; a musical folly. A project conducted across the vast Atlantic Ocean. A project that suits its name. A project to stir the sleep of the phantasmagorical beast.
