I wrote this song about some tough times my friends have been through. It's trying to say I know what you're feeling, and it will get better...

I decided to take a bit more time with this one than my last few recordings. It's taken me nearly 2 days to write and record it thus far. I've tried out a few new things - played slide guitar for the first time on a song. I also used some orchestral sounds like the harp and cello..

    Lyrics:

I know what you've been through
because I've been there along with you
A savage waste, when a marriage breaks
Ma and Pa go their seperate ways
It's left a hole in you

    I know how you're feeling,
    Believe me I've been there
    You're left out alone tonight

But if your hearts still beating
    You've got to believe that
There's a better day down the line

Why? All the crap that's happening to my boys
Why? All the crap that's happening to my boys

So your woman has left you, but she's still hanging around
    Talking to other guys
Your car's broke, and the bills are a joke
Work Sucks, and you're low on smokes
But I'm still by your side

And I know that it seems that
    Everybody else is fine
But they just keep it inside
Well you have to belive me, things will be better in time
There's a better day down the line

Why? All the crap that's happening to my boys
Why? All the crap that's happening to my boys
To my boys, my boys, Maybe cut a bit of slack for my boys
my boys, my boys, I'd take a bullet in the back for my boys
