Tom Rogers is an electronic music artist from New York. Fusing elements from spoken word to film score, his live sets thrive on suspenseful and introspective textures. The unification of ambient soundscapes, controlled glitch effects, and orchestral string sections creates a dynamic atmosphere which obscures the lines between musical genres. Crossing through IDM, Downtempo, Progressive House, Trance, and more, allows for an intricate, ceaseless unfolding effect.
In 2012 through 2013 he shared DJ lineups with strong international and local talent, including Kyau & Albert, Eco, Ronski Speed, Thomas Datt, James Gill, and Victor Dinaire. Venues Tom has performed at include Club LOVE, Santos Party House, Morgan Room, National Underground, Southpaw, and Littlefield. Through the year he also created the intro sequence for and hosted UndrgrndSound.com's "Undr the Radar" podcast series, which has received support from Tritonal, Infected Mushroom, Sandro Silva, Bassjackers, Nina Kravitz, Mt Eden, and many other artists on the international festival circuit. Beyond this, he began releasing his own remixes (Tiesto - "Take Me") and original productions ("Variance") through Soundcloud.
Tom also writes articles for the United States Trance Movement's official website. His compilation reviews and Featured Artist pieces have been proudly shared by the very artists he writes about, including Orjan Nilsen and Myon & Shane 54. Tom was featured for a guest mix on Episode 24 of the site's podcast,
and the 3rd Anniversary broadcast after MaRLo on ETN.fm. He also joined Airwave, Jordy Lishious, Dave Correa, and Juliet Star (among others) for Day 2 of Trancesound.net's Trance Sound Festival 2012 Broadcast.
In the same year Tom became a Certified Audio Engineer and Producer, upon graduating from the Institute of Audio Research -- the oldest Audio Recording, Engineering & Music Production School in the world.
