Tom Taylor

Tom is one of the most exciting, versatile and creative producers to break through onto the electronic scene in recent years. He’s built on the success found as one half of 20:20 Vision’s The Electric Press and holds a wealth of accolades most producers would kill for. Various big EP's on 2020 Vision and remixes of Daft Punk, Kelis, Erykah Badu, Armand Van Helden, Crazy P, Robert Owens, Francesco Tristano, DJ T being a pick of names from past productions.

Recent work has seen him produce for labels such as, Poker Flat, Dessous, Compost (Germany), Infiné (France), 2020 Vision, Fina, Outcross (UK) along his own label ventures. Attracting praise from the likes of Steve Bug, Josh Wink and Ben Watt, Tom’s productions have his signature flourishes of electronic soul, deep spacey melodies and atmospheric chords. Drawing on long-time influences from film sound track scores (Vangelis, Lalo Schifrin) to house – funk, disco – soul, Taylor’s solo tracks are deep house music, suffused with melodrama; emotive and bold.

Collaborations and remixes continue to flow, including work alongside Fina Records honcho Simon Morell & Bulletdodge boss Gareth Whitehead. Paul Woolford employs Taylor as his production partner and engineer on various projects (Planet E, We Love, Renaissance) and various remixes and re-edits including Depeche Mode and edits for Woolford’s We Love Ibiza Space residency. Tom also engineers and produces for dub boys ‘Jagged Hedz’ (Black Hole recordings) and is the creative studio wizard for several up and coming artists.

The man has played alongside the worlds best acts and is an established dj/live act internationally. Tank (Sydney), SQ (Poland), 360 Dubai, Ministry of Sound, The End (London), Back to Basics (Leeds), MAD (Lausanne) being a handful of names picked from his travels.
