My name is Tom Parkes, I am 24 years of age and have been involved with music since my first encounter with a keyboard at the age of 4. I took up drums, guitar and bass at around age 11 and started recording my own music at 12, using a single cassette deck. I then advanced onto a 4-track cassette recorder, then a laptop with Cool Edit Pro, and now my home studio set-up using Pro Tools, Cubase and Reason.

I have always been one to make the most out of what limited equipment I have available to me, and I feel this has helped me to learn as much as possible about recording and production techniques. I studied Music Production at the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford and I produce a wide variety of music: mainly in the form of ambient electronica and dub, but also folk and indie when the mood grabs me. Mostly, however, this profile demonstrates more of my electronic efforts.
