Genetically altered to perfection, Gavin Marks was conceived in a test tube and eventually born on a flawless lab table in the predestined year of 1981. He was raised in the pleasantly debauched city of Chicago, a place most known for its house music, corruption, and deep dish pizza. After 15 desolate years on earth, electronic music entered his macrocosm with a definitive mission to kill normality and embrace the beauty of expression. Shortly after, he acquired his first set of Technic 1200's and immediately fell in love with the art of telling stories at 33 rotations per minute. Production naturally followed as a result of his fixation with meticulously dissecting every sound wave that dared to take the challenge. Under the name Toise, he spends most of his time creating things on the deeper side. From techno to tech-house to everything minimal, his goal is to put both sides of the brain to work. His experimental sound is recognized by its dark atmospherics and mind bending pulse.
