TJH87 are a Finnish electronic music duo consisting of Timo Juuti and Hector 87, founded in 2010, allegedly after borrowing vast amounts of old 12” LP’s from their local library. TJH87 are recognized for incorporating a lot of disco and rock influences into their own unique brand of House music. TJH87 describe their song as ”epic tragedies that are not just for clubs and big speaker systems”.

Before TJH87, the boys released a few singles during 2011 under the moniker Timo Juuti & Hector 87. Two of these singles were included on Hed Kandi compilations and ”I Know It” was featured on BBC Radio 1 by Fearne Cotton and DJ Chuckie. Soon after followed their debut EP ”Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez” (2012) released by an Italian indie imprint La Valigetta. The EP included remixes from Ghosts of Venice, PHNTM and J Paul Getto. Third track on the EP, ”Cheap Bad Moves” became most successful recording on the EP receiving airplay on radio stations around the world, with licensing again to another Hed Kandi compilation.

In November 2012, TJH87 released their latest EP ‘Break Away Kicks!’ which was described as “Daft Punk on crack” by the Crack Magazine. The EP was further noticed by major publications like DJ Mag, house.net and Kick Kick Snare. In addition to original and extended club mix, the EP included remixes from Digikid84, Stereocool and WAFA. After its release, ‘Break Away Kicks!’ went to #1 on Finnish iTunes dance chart in less than week, while also entering Beatport’s top 100 Indie Dance / Nu Disco chart. The EP has received support from a wide range of DJs, and further radio play on BBC Radio 6, as well as national support from Finnish radio YleX and countless radio stations across Europe, The USA and the Pacific Rim.

In addition to their original work, Timo & Hector have undertaken remixes for dance music artists as well as bands such as Avicii, Satellite Stories, Mani, Joonas Hahmo and more. They have also released a series of free bootleg remixes that have gained tens of thousands of plays via soundcloud and youtube. They have been supported by DJs such as Armand Van Helden, Luciano, DJ Chuckie, High Rankin, Treasure Fingers, and others...
