Erwan "Tiwanik" (guitarist, writer, composer), born in 1977 in Brest, began by learning classical piano and music theory at the age of 6 years with Claudine François near Paris (Yvelines).During this period, almost every week he follows the family in concerts of jazz, Gypsy music ( "Bratsch). Four years later he began playing the saxophone in music school and this for six years. In 1991, music became a passion with the discovery of the guitar with his father. He then begins to play in groups with different courses ranging from rock-pop "Eclipse" to the funk fusion, through the hard-rock Necromancia. In 1993, having spent a year studying jazz harmony, he turned to reggae and became a founding member of the "Cool Vibes", he left a year later. In 1996 he made a few months in a Latin-funk band then returns to the "Cool vibes".It is also the year he decided to end his studies to dedicate himself fully to music. That summer, his trip to Burkina Faso will cause him a click. On his return, African and caribbean music take a very important place in his mind.Between little jobs and some other trips, he started composing. In this same period, he resumed his jazz guitar lessons for a year. In 1997, the "Cool Vibes" becomes "Nassara" group stopped in 2000 after 200 concerts, including the first parts of the Wailers, Manu Dibango, Geoffrey Oriema, Mister Gang and scenes such as "Bataclan" or the "MCM Café", a demo CD of four songs, two CDs (Metisse nous çà!"And" Manman Elizabeth "). During this same period, he recorded a demo CD of four songs with" Teen Town ", jazz fusion band with his brother, bassist and longtime partner (Gwendal). The group also shuts with the change of drummer region in 2000. From this period, Erwan almost fully devoted to the composition and joins projects including Jonathan Dassin, his childhood friend Ray Olivier or Arno "Shabazz". In 2005, he left the Paris region for Brittany (Brest) and continues his work of composition, through various backgrounds:hip-hop, jazz, Celtic, pop, but also some "manoucheries" with his friends and always Afro-Caribbean music. 2009 marks his return in the Yvelines and Essonne always with collaborations with Jonathan and Shabazz. 2011, Tiwanik joins Sodjul and play on the first Jonathan Dassin's record.
