These short loops were made by me and a very talented friend, JJ Minniecon, to be the soundtrack to a very short score chase game for smartphones/tablets. Over a few hours and beers. Unfortunately it's looking unlikely that I'll finish the game, so I thought I'd post them here.
The game was meant to be very hard, with most games not lasting one minute. The player controlled a small cannon trying to hold off an endless onslaught of tanks, planes and helicopters for as long as they could to get a high score. There was a twist in that there would be a boss battle, but that only occurred once the player had lost. Then a big hulking war machine would come in and finish the player off. But it gave the player a last desperate effort to continue their combos and score some more points.
Each track would loop until a certain number and combination of enemies were destroyed. Then, after a big sound effect and notification on screen, a new wave of enemies would attack and the next track would loop, and so on.
