- TIMMUS (AUS): Summit backwards, Is a communal word, meaning we are going to the summit. Growing up in country Victoria, Australia this young urban hippie has been bringing his original Twisted funk & groove sounds to the streets and back to the bush. Through djing and production his lifelong musical background has helped him to create a life bound symphony and include many different musical directions. His alternative, organic, funkadellic, psycadellic, minimalistic, experimental, tech-knowledgeable, groove oriented rhythms and beats have been filling and twisting dance floors around Australia since the age of 15 in 2005. Now at the age of 22 he has more recently been involved in Killing Time an iconic new bar in Melbourne that has become a hub for underground musical and artistic communities. It was then in 2008 that he became a resident at Mixed Messages. Timmus is running a record label (Smash Bang Records) & has currently completed his first European tour.
At an early age Timmus excelled with production and was soon to be picked up by Luke Mcd and Ehsan Gelsi on Smash Bang Records and has now taken a more important role in the label. It wasnt to soon later that he also had releases on such labels as K47 Music (Switzerland) Viynl Pusher and Freakshow Disco... You can also keep an eye out for further releases coming out on Open Records and Smash Bang . He has remixed the likes of Thankyou City, T-rek, Nick Coleman, Luke Mcd, Ronnie Gordan (Ashton Shuffle) and Auzzie house duo Upfunk.
Timmus has conquered and played at festivals and outdoor parties including Fusion Festival (Germany), C/o Pop Festival (Germany), Rainbow Serpent Festival, For the Love Festival, Subsonic Music Festival (SYD), Earthdance, Earthcore, Re-Ignition, Ostara Festival, Matreya Festival, Loose Encounters, Brutal and the the Victorian solstice parties.
Has supported acts from around the world such as Gabrial Ananda, Secret Cinema, Tobias Thomas, Michael Mayer Format B, Heinrich & Hirtenfellner, Maetrik, Radioslave, Phil Kieren, D Ramirez, Style of Eye, Alex Smoke, Konrad Black, Matthias Meyer, Scsi-9, Daniel Drier, Tom Clarke, Petter, Antix and more.
