Tim Wolff’s dj-career starts with a bang in 2005 with a residency in Amsterdam’s notorious TWSTd-bar. When Tim takes up producing a couple of years later, things really start to take off. Reaching the finals of producing competition Vinylized in 2007 and 2008, he attracts the attention of techno veteran Estroe. The start of 2009 sees his first release Sostenuto EP on Estroe’s and Acid Junkies’ renowned label EevoNext Recordings. The tracks get picked up by masters of the trade such as Steve Rachmad and Josh Wink, who includes the track Branch in the prestigious Resident Advisor podcast. On the heels of this success come great gigs such as Awakenings Festival, TWSTd QNSDY Open Air, Rockit Festival and the Tube in Belgrade, along with countless club dates in venues like Paradiso, Studio 80 and Sugar Factory.
After a release on Tik Tok Music, Train to 020 EP, Tim returns to EevoNext late 2009 for his third release Senor Swanky EP, which includes a remix by Estroe. In November of that same year, techno-demigod Dave Clarke picks up Tim’s unreleased promo-track Get Ready, drops it at a packed Awakenings edition at the Gashouder, and puts it in his November top ten chart and on his 3FM White Noise “Best of 2009” list. Tim’s tracks and sets continue to pop up in Dave’s international radio show White Noise after that.
More successful releases follow in 2011, including the smash We Gingen Wel Eens Door on Piekup Records, the The Straight Story EP on Darko Esser’s Wolfskuil imprint with remixes by Steve Rachmad and Estroe, and a remix for Camiel Daamen on Klopfgeist records. Further down the line are another release on Wolfskuil with remixes by Quince and Darko Esser, a track for an EevoNext compilation album, an EP on Scottish label Bulletdodge and an all-old school techno EP on Balans Records.
Meanwhile, Tim keeps on gigging this coming spring and summer, with planned shows in Italy and Germany and back at home at Dave Clarke Invites, Awakenings Festival, Save Me At The Beach Festival, Lief Festival, Costa del Soul Festival, Speaker Beats Festival and clubs all over the country.
