About

Current resident DJ at the "Triptik Presents..." club nights in association with the Triptik record label.

Spent my school years listening to everything from: badly recorded tapes from various raves in the early 90's; the sounds of east and west coast hip hop; as much obscure indie music as I could find in the limited amount of record shops of Carlisle had to offer; I also had an obsession for listening to night time radio under the covers when it was way past my bedtime. This passion for collecting a wide variety of music has continued to this day, but in the tail end of the 90's/early 00's I found myself doing a lot of sweating and dancing to repetitive electronic music with a 4/4 rhythm and it pretty much took over my life. This love of all things house and techno immediately led to buying a set of 1210's, DJing in the local clubs and promoting various little nights with my mates. Over the past thirteen years, my love of dance music has taken me on so many adventures: I've traveled up and down the country to visit countless record shops (although that happens less frequently nowadays thanks to the internet); I've played a broad range of funk, soul, disco, house, techno and drum & bass at so many festivals, get-togethers and club nights; I've made 100's of new friends and feel like I'm still part of a scene that never stops being special. Having played on the same line-ups with well-knowns such as Greg Wilson, Danny Rampling, Todd Terry, DJ Hazard, and Space Dimension Controller, it just goes to show I definitely have a versatile approach when it comes to playing other people's music.
