A "dungeon" release -- never listened to by human ears before. Written in August 2002, right after we finished "Walls of the Cave". It's apparent we needed a little cheerful ditty after our decent into the cave... Possibly unfinished, I really love Trey's guitar work on this song. The lyrics are a classic 'Scott Herman call, Tom Marshall response' composed via email...a time conundrum:
Sparrow
The future's a concept I'd rather ignore
let's talk about things that have happened before
whenever tomorrow intrudes on my day
my thoughts, like a sparrow, just flutter away
let's speak of events that occurred in the past
please let my thoughts stay and not fly off so fast
perhaps if I like you we'll keep talking then...
I wonder why they just flew off again?
