I think bands shouldn't worry about branding. They should worry about writing great songs. I think bands are mislead to just throw money at all this other stuff other than the music first. You can easily just throw money at all that other stuff, marketing, branding etc..... Bands need to focus on writing better songs first. My opinion, forget all that other shit. Unless you have deep pockets. Write killer songs and all that other stuff will follow. I thought that this pod cast is highly debatable, and controversial. I now want to wear flip flops on stage because of this pod cast. I think that having a calculated image on stage is embarrassing, and would way rather see flip flops than a chain wallet. Especially if the artists sounds kick ass. I want to see an artist look dirty and hairy up there way more than that a cheesy "trying" look.
