@Adam Ferg: Nothing about Third Eye Blind "just" became politically outspoken. Unless you're under the impression that this is the first song they've ever written or got lost on your way to Dave Matthews Band's page...

Nice. I must say, I give you guys in Third Eye Blind a lot of credit: At least you're stepping up, and actually coming out in support --- most other bands seem scared to death.

Out of touch politically? You sound like a neocon or a fake Libertarian. Over 53% of Americans sympathize or support the Occupy movement. I'm sorry but it sounds like you're the one who's out of touch and politicallly-outspoken.
