May 2013 Third Ear podcast kicks off with Demetrio Giannice’s deep and kicking November, before slipping into Kyle Hall’s deliriously off-kilter Must See. One of the highlight releases of 2013 for us is a new Thomas Brinkmann ep; the first of a series of Brinkmann releases on Third Ear. TT and On Edge_K are from the Guy Martin ep. Brinkmann gives us a record bursting with ideas, energy and technical brilliance. Brendon Moeller’s N-Train from the One Man’s Junk ep follows up Brinkmann’s TT, before we switch moods with two classics from Hiroshi Watanabe’s Tread project. Both Last Resolution, from Tread 4, and Diamond Brightness from Tread 3 still sound as fresh and uplifting as they ever did. We come back with Wbeeza’s amazing Wise Root from the latest Third Ear release, Wbeeza’s Mo Bella, which morphs into Benjamin Brunn's wonderful Pankow Memories collaboration with Kai Kroker and Dave Wheels. El Prevost’s Allez Ally featuring D. Ham, an equally up-front statement follows before Brinkman’s crunching On Edge_K wraps up the mix before a coda with Dopeus’ Don’t I Need You from the soon to be released Getaway ep. In what is shaping up to be a year of great releases, Dopeus’ is certainly one of the best.
