@raytrace: Thanks... as I get older more and more melancholy melodic stuff is creeping in.

@raytrace: yeh I really, really like the fizzy kinda warm sound off the pad/saw noises at the start of 'Close To You'

@raytrace: Thanks... by the way why raytrace? is your name ray? wait that doesn't make sense... anyway just curious!

@thingstocome: haha no my name isn't Ray Trace - to be honest I kinda was looking for something I thought sounded 'techno/futuristic'-ish (and also maybe a bit geeky eheh) and one of the few things out of the list that didnt bring up either a Facebook, MYspace or give results when googled was Raytrace - so yeh it is just named after the rendering technique of bouncing rays off object. I also considered 'AnchorPoint' but thought that was a bit too ridiculous haha

@raytrace: Oh man Anchorpoint! Dude... lol!

Here’s a clip from a new song I am working on called “Into the Universe”. It’s not as dark as my usual stuff. If I can get it to a place I like it will be on my next album. The lyrics are from the point of view of a human who is half machine, sometime in the future. He tells how he used to be only organic and how he now runs on solar power and travels to other planets. The explanation is cheeky I know but that’s the magic of music because in song form I think it works. Still only just a demo...
