Zars are a dance-electronic duo made by Alex Tessarolo and pAd. Thier music moves easily from techno-dub to house and it's always connected by a deep and raw touch.
Zars' music is made of contrasts, oppositions that tend to create rather than destroy: club music vs chamber music, techno vs house, black vs white, a mediterranean pounding heart vs a northern european mind-set… the past and the future, that contrast better known as the present.
Zars played at many venues in Rome like Brancaleone, Alien, Shari Vari, Circolo degli Artisti, Muzak, NYlon, Atelier 35, Locanda Atlantide, Roma Vintage, River Market, Agua Bar, Il Barcone, Nissan Juke Energy Village, the RGB events with guests like Octave One and Joris Voorn at Brancaleone in winter 2010.
They were resident djs of the aperitif You Got Taste, every Saturday 2010/11 at 091 Cocktail Bar.
Zars were also the creators of the dance events: JESUS IN DA HOUSE at Muzak (Rome) and 12" (Twelve Inches) at Rough Bar
The Zars played at Brancaleone at Wave Connection event with special guest Shlomi Aber (14/01/2012) and Jeff Mills (16/03/23012).
During Fall 2012 The Zars have been resident djs of the techno event Santeria.
