Demo of the Copilot FX Caracol pedal. The Caracol is an OD/fuzz/octave up with a twist - as the Copilot site explains: "Caracol(seashell in spanish) is a Droney Octave up when nothing is plugged into the external jack, plugging a fixed frequency source into the jack it turns into a ring modulator tuned to the frequency, plugging another instrument it turns into an awesome machine of sonic euphoria and blistering joy (IF both the instrument and the source are playing the same harmonies) or a sonic chaotic monster that will totally destroy the input (if the source and the instrument are playing in their own ways)." This demo goes through a number of source/modulation pedals to mess with the octave. Interestingly, it was very sensitive to the tracking on pitch-altering pedals. The upper octaves on the POG2 played very nicely on it, but the pitch shift feature of the Holy Stain and the octave down on the Dano Chili Dog both sent it off into different kinds of nutso ring-mod land.
