Gabriel Saint is known predominantly for his cabinet-rattling remixes of huge songs like Mumford and Sons' "Little Lion," and Lana Del Rey's "Video Games," in addition to Hendrex classic "Voodoo Chile," but today, he's all about that trap. And it makes sense, because High Top Kicks is a bayou boy from Baton Rouge. The dirty South don't get much dirtier than "The Poison, " and it stings, too. Hard claps and gutter hats wreck this track, with some delicate synthwork laid across the top so's you don't get the notion that this potent producer doesn't have any polish. We knew HTK was gold ever since he was on our Made In Glitch / Mixify digital festival last month. Watch out for High Top Kicks, 'cause this Saint is burstin' through your speakers.
