About
Ripped from the Nuenergy Collective website. Nice writeup boys. Cheers!
Welcome to the energy, welcome to The *Ting* - This “sexy Milf” has been behind the scenes producing tracks, running her own events, singing live and DJing across the globe since 1999.
Her productions have mainly been hard dance and this is where the connection with Kevin Energy was formed. “Power in the light” was their first success featuring The *Ting*s own lyrics and vocals, this track featured on two hardcore compilation albums, and has enjoyed remix success by numerous artists since. “Badgers on Acid” came next, with multiple compilation releases planned, however the badger got pissed and went back underground taking the track with it and turning it into a somewhat cult classic.
The happy union didn’t end just there, The *Ting* performed live with the collective at the legendary Fridge Club and enjoyed a string of DJ back to backs that would indubitably erect Pete Tongs, ding dong. Her DJ sets are legendary and she is without doubt the female equivalent of Mark EG and soul brother Proteus. There has never been and still isn’t another female DJ on the scene like her, she became popular due to her exhibitionist nature which even at one stage included full nudity!
Her events have always been heralded as wild nights out, where people were encouraged themselves to come colourful, courageous and ready to party. From the regular Saturday night gigs at the legendary Purple Turtle in Camden, to high class, international events such as her own event in London “Party Proactive” at Turnmills and joint events with Heat in Thailand and Frantic in Australia.
She also spent time heading up the music department for Cyberdog and joined shackles with Torture Garden in a number of dodgy positions for several years.
If I could write a track with any producer it would be: William Orbit
My favorite all time rave track is: Underworld – Born Slippy
Other non rave music I like is: Eurthmics, latino vibes, some rock like Eyelash, Leftfield, Haujobb, Sisters of Mercy, NIN, Ministry, Depeche Mode, Scissor sisters, Lady Gaga, Queen, Adam and the Ants and Nina Simone.
