We'll be welcoming the Toronto-born, Nashville-dwelling singer-songwriter Lindi Ortega. Also, we are joined by George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight staffers and veteran music writers Aaron Brophy and Tara Henley to explore the vast musical scenes of the nineties.

Lindi Ortega recently released Tin Star, her third album and follow-up to 2011's Juno Award–nominated Little Red Boots and last year's Polaris Music Prize–nominated Cigarettes and Truckstops. She'll also be performing an acoustic set in the broom closet.

When The Verve's epic "Bitter Sweet Symphony" cast a melancholy spell around the world in '97, it wasn't just because of its pointed lyrics, its uncomfortable music video or those hypnotic string loops. It was also because that song represented the end of an era. Aaron Brophy will help Strombo unravel what that song meant.

Tara Henley will explore the lyrical realms of nineties hip-hop. Bridging the gap between Jay Z and Pharcyde, they'll dive into the implications that occur internally in the conversation of the genre.

As always, we'll be tipping our hats to those ground-breakers and game-changers with a Nod to the Gods, spinning the best new tracks on the Magnificent Seven, Tom Waits on Ten with Tom and we'll set you into the collective horizontal with the Big Lie Down.

Get in here! Join the collective.
