It's a full-house in the broom closet as we welcome Danger Mouse and James Mercer of The Shins for a musical exploration with George Stroumboulopoulos about their collaborative project, Broken Bells. Both artists create sonic fabrics that get permanently sewn into your mind. Mercer's laid-back melodies with The Shins guided the soundtrack of Zach Braff's Garden State and then Danger Mouse? We can blame for that infinite groove of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy."

Broken Bells' sophomore album dropped a month ago and they sit down to discuss the process, as well as Danger Mouse's production on the upcoming U2 record.

Canadian actor/writer Maxwell McCabe-Lokos swings by to discuss his latest project, The Husband, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. You know him as Ryan Gosling's dirty-minded co-worker in Lars and the Real Girl, and the skateboarding survivor in George Romero's Land of the Dead. A few years ago, however, he was best known as "Age of Danger" on the keys of the Polaris Prize-nominated garage rock band, The Deadly Snakes. He brings that bravado into his new role in The Husband, which has been described as “a kind of horror comedy about impotent male rage”.

As always, we'll be tipping our hats to those ground-breakers and game-changers with a Nod to the Gods, spinning the best new tracks on the Magnificent Seven, paying tribute to Tom Waits on Ten with Tom and we'll send you into the collective horizontal with the Big Lie Down.

It's three hours of commercial free music. Get on in here! Join the collective.
