Apollo Moon NASA "Simon James" "tape loops" electronics synthesizer "tone generator" "space echo" experimental space rocket exploration

Electronics and tape loop piece to commemorate the Apollo Moon landing which took place 40 years ago. The piece has specific movements that relate to moments in the Apollo mission - launch, Earth orbit, journey to the Moon, Lunar descent, surface of the Moon, Lunar ascent, journey home, through the Earths atmosphere and splashdown.

It is based around a live performance I did a couple of weeks ago at an Apollo event in Brighton, UK. I threw an Apollo party last night and wanted to give the guests a one off version on CD.

I would suggest finding some vintage Apollo footage and watching it as you listen!
