About
My real name is Dave House and I'm a graphic designer and musician currently living in Brighton, UK.
I started producing music about 10 years ago when I discovered that it's possible to use a computer as an instrument, sequencer and studio. Despite having learnt classical guitar for 5 years as a kid, my approach to computer music was very much sample-based right from the start.
I soon developed a passion and fascination for using found sounds and audio detritus as my sonic palette. Most of my music is produced from original field recordings which I've made, and continue to make, wherever I go in the world. As well as sourcing more exotic samples I like recording everyday scenes and picking out the interesting noises that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I also DJ everything from minimal techno and glitch house to latin, afro, jazz, funk, dub and electronica.
