About
The Recordist is an audio production company founded by Frank Bry in 1986 with digital sound sample offerings for Digital Sampling Keyboards. With the success of these libraries, the company expanded by offering high end digital sample CD-ROMs for the Emu Emulator IIIx, Emulator IV, synthesizer programming for Waldorf Electronics and Emu Systems, and custom sound design for video, film, radio and television. He then expanded into custom sound effects design and recording for leading sound effects CD library developers.
As demand increased for high quality sound design for multimedia and video games he formed a division that specialized in sound for new media.
The Recordist offers the massive Ultimate SFX series of professional HD sound effects libraries and our SoundBox HD sound effect collections.
Each SoundBox HD Pro contains an incredible collection of unique and difficult to record sound effects in multiple formats up to 24-Bit 192kHz with Soundminer and Pro Tools Metadata embedded.
