It's only taken three short years for everyone to know the name Splinta.
Assaulting crowds with his high-energy DJ sets and attacking the charts with his dance floor destroying productions, there’s no ignoring Newcastle boy, Brenton Tongue.
Splinta’s passion for hard dance music led to his creation of the Newcastle Rockers, a shuffle group that has made a name for themselves as respected entertainers in the scene. Not content with just dance recognition, Splinta learnt the art of DJing and stepped it up on the stage with stellar sets that have had clubs rocking across the country. Playing prominent events and venues including Daydreams, Dominate, Ourstyle, Q-dance and Force events, supporting massive internationals such as Headhunterz, Wildstylez, Luca Antolini, Toneshifterz, Organ Donors, Alex Kidd, Kidd Kaos, Mike Steventon & Side E-Fect has culminated in Splinta gracing the iconic Defqon.1 festival on the Orange stage for the last two years in a row.
To branch out from the Hard Dance scene and show his passion for all styles of electronic music, Splinta has teamed up with DJ & producer Dexi and created the alias Xiita. With huge support from QDance Australia after hearing their forth coming album, Dune will be making their debut in the main arena for Headhunters Wild with Style tour Sydney!
Mainstage action domination hasn’t been enough for Splinta either. Taking up production in 2013, Splinta has been relentless on the charts these past few years, smacking the scene in the face with two #1 hits in 2012, two #1’s in 2013 and a slew of top 10 bangers. No wonder he’s signed to multiple labels including Gearbox, Kiddfectious, Rave Me, Digitally Infected, PHD, Tranztek, Traffic, United Styles and Metamorph. No wonder producers all around the world are lining up to collaborate with Newcastle's own musical prodigy.
Splinta proudly flies the flag for tech dance in Australia, driving the genre and firmly cementing our presence on the international scene.
His star is exploding.
