With recent support from the likes of Chuckie, Mixmag, Larry Tee, Etienne De Crecy, D.O.N.S, Filth and Splendour, KissFM and Radio FG; Sydney based Alex Preston (formerly DJ Puma) is without a doubt one of Australia's most promising rising house music stars. His first EP release in late 2011, "Rubber Ducky" (Yeah Man Records, UK) jumped to #12 on the Beatport Charts in just 2 days. Alex has since released a further self-titled EP which spent 3 weeks in the Beatport Top 40 and also saw him be scouted by Danish label boss and electro producer, Thomas LP who signed Puma to his label, MELONSOUND. With his productions receiving support from a plethora of international heavyweight house music producers and DJs, Alex Preston is set to take the world by storm in 2012.
Alex's most recent release "The Calling" EP, which was also the first release from his new label, Preston Recordings, has received huge support from the likes of Chuckie, Etienne De Crecy, D.O.N.S, & Filth and Spendour to name a few. It has also been featured by Mixmag as well charting in KissFM top 10 playlist and seen him pick up a string of DJ bookings in the UK and Europe - not to mention the 4 weeks in spent in the Top 30 Electro House Releases on Beatport.
As a club DJ, Alex has supported the likes of Usher (on his 2011 OMG Tour), Calvin Harris, Tommy Trash, The Aston Shuffle, Timmy Trumpet, The Stafford Brothers, TV Rock, Mobin Master, The Hump Day Project, Pnau & Dcup just to name a few.
