Thanks Jim. It's scored for 2 glocks, vibes, acoustic bass, drums, 2 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 bassoons. BTW, I saw Gary Burton and Steve Swallow at the Statler Hilton Hotel in Buffalo around '77. Pat Metheny, Dan Gottlieb, and Eberhard Weber were also in the band! They were doing the Passengers album.
@Jim Lynch 4: It's in plain old 4/4. It's about a recurring dream.
I wholly expected a hip, ironic surreal psych-fest as a backdrop to WB. Little did I know... I love the guitars and strings and the buccolic feel of this piece against WB's gruff voice. Great work.
How did you get these metallic notes?
Great piece - really like the reverse bits here.
I like this very much. I particularly like the muted or "ghost" notes. It's a nice detail. I also like how you develop your ideas here. I have short piece of "spy music" called Safehouse. Give it a listen if you have a chance.
@Endless Night: Thanks. Sometimes I like watching the House of Commons debates on CSPAN, especially Tony Blair. This is a sort of a "cool Britania" theme.
@Theosphere: I hope you can check out my music and tell me what you think - thanks
I like the overtone feeling and washes of color. Beautiful mix of drone, tension and calm.
Nice keyboard vamp.
I love the expressiveness of the guitar - it really sings.
Great sense of growing tension
On one level the groove reminds me of Weather Report circa Black Market. Love it.
nice contrasting section
