Rahul Kataria, also known as DJ Ra, is a Music Producer and DJ who has been interested in music since childhood, when he began his extensive training in North Indian Classical vocal music. In high school he played the trumpet, performed in musicals, and was the drummer in several bands. While attending college at Northwestern University, he helped start a North Indian Bhangra Dance team. In addition to being President of the team, he was also responsible for creating the team’s dance mix. It was during this time that Rahul found a passion in the world of mixing.

After college, he began to experiment with music outside of the Bhangra world, which led to 2 years of “monthly mixes.” In these mixes, he went beyond simply stringing together clips of songs. Instead, he mixed various vocals, instrumentals, and sound effects to create mega-mashups. People around the country began noticing his particular style and talent, and since then have been requesting his professional mixing and DJ services for their dance teams, parties, clubs, weddings, and more.

In December 2011, Rahul joined forces with Eclipse Entertainers. His unique talents have added a new dimension to the company, and his customized mashups using top 40’s, house, and hip-hop have rocked every bar, club, party, and wedding he has played at.
