"This band has what we industry types like to call “a bit of a buzz” on them" – Artrocker
"An equally wonderful debut: hazy, dreamy, anthemic pop, a festival definer in the making". – Sunday Times Culture
"With a heartsore sound calling to mind Delphic and Doves, this is the sort of thing you turn up on headphones when staring out of train windows". – NME
Them:Youth release their 2nd single of the year Toothache on November 1st on their own Big Hand Recordings. It follows the release of their previous single ‘Fever Rising’.
Toothache is a euphoric dance rock anthem that manages to infuse Mark Buckle’s searing vocals, Ilan Hartogh’s blissed out guitar & ethereal keys/synth, Allan McBride’s driving basslines, Paul Buckle’s galloping drums and an on-board laptop to create swirling landscapes with an atmospheric build-up waiting to be blasted into the ether with a pulsating anthemic chorus.
Toothache manages to showcase the bands diversity and is a taster for their upcoming album, which will manage to switch between crowd-raising anthems, esoteric dance, gentle lullaby moments with unique charm and defying genre’s.
Them:Youth have quickly earned themselves a reputation for being a ferocious live band with shows in and around the capital and will continue to bring their live experience to a venue near you this Autumn.
