(The) 'Entrprise' is Kwame Daisho, an EDM producer from London currently based in the UAE. Born and raised in Oxford, England, Daisho had always been surrounded by music although it wasn’t until he one day felt compelled to try out Ableton Live and became hooked, that he began to think seriously about a change from architect to progressive house maestro.
With his recent release of 3-Track EP ‘The Wolf In The Fold EP’ and the upcoming full-length album ‘The Wrath of Calm’, Daisho continues to innovate by pushing the boundaries of the genre and taking it boldly where it’s never gone before, whilst rapidly becoming one of the most respected producers in the region in the process.
Writing and recording songs for colleagues about office life an other such topics as a joke, Daisho began his musical career primarily as a songwriter, culminating in the side-project ‘Car 19 To Base’ and the album ‘Some Names Have Been Changed’ which attracted the attention of the music industry such as MTV’s Hype Music and Rolling Stone Magazine. After being exposed to the genres of trance and progressive house and taking inspiration from artists such as Deadmau5, Tiesto and Avicii, production rapidly became his primary focus as songwriting gradually took a backseat.
With no formal musical training, Daisho is self taught over the course of many years, preferring to make his tracks purely by instinct. Passionate about crafting a distinct and luxurious sound, Daisho takes the same ‘less is more’ approach from his experience in the design world, choosing simple melodies and strong lyrical content to create solid, honest tracks that never feel overproduced.
“It’s about trying to create music that you can relate to. I like to try and make the kind of songs that gives you goosebumps, that seem to have an answer for you when you can’t find any in life, that you can just listen to and escape.”
