Quirky and charismatic, The Empty Pockets deliver brash Rock & Roll music with unrelenting hooks, soaring vocals, honest lyrics and carefully crafted songwriting. Their sound focuses on driving rockabilly grooves thick with rhythm and blues, and thoughtful melodies and harmonies in classic pop song structures.
The Empty Pockets formed in 2006 out of Chicago and pride themselves on delivering handcrafted rock and roll. Their music is devoid of sequencing, auto-tune or digital pollution in favor of rich, analog sounds and skillful musicianship true to the band’s performance onstage.
This foursome loves what they do and it shows. That’s why the Empty Pockets have headlined SXSW Music Festival, shared the stage with stars like comedian George Lopez, and musicians such as Dickey Betts, Jason Mraz, FUN, Dispatch, Jennifer Hudson, Kansas, Portugal The Man, Traffic's Dave Mason, The James Gang, The Nelson Brothers and Buffalo Springfield's Richie Furay, had two singles chart on the Billboard top 100, and garnered appearances and song placements on multiple major network and cable television programs. Six out of eleven tracks from The Pockets' last two EP's have received significant airplay on Triple-A and Hot AC Radio.
