In 2004 something yet unseen happened on the music scene of Copenhagen. A group of young musicians who had met at the conservatory, joined in with a hip hop DJ and subsequently generated long lines for their live performances. The magazines called their music the hippest thing to own. The group split up, but out of the ruins came the einmarsch and you are now among the first to hear this brand new debut-record.

the einmarsch is the freshest out of copenhagen, denmark’s urban electrojazz scene. he has been around the circuit for some time exploring the outer and inner boundaries of music, working with different electronic and jazz acts - among many others malkin zany, señor coconut, nobody beats the beats, rasmus møbius, melk, zaki and mc einar. the einmarsch, aka 29 y.o. conservatory-trained trumpeter tav klitgaard, contributes to this world with old school horns on new bottles. new beats from alive as well as late drummers, and cunning basses, keys, and clicks - all produced by the einmarsch. as lo-fi as Tied & Tickled Trio, as hi-density as prefuse 73 and as vsop as jaga jazzist.

it’s in the cross-over between the man and the machine that we find the einmarsch. sometimes hand-played in the electronic way and sometimes generic in the human way, but this is always real music from real skilled musicians.
