The Deadly Syndrome consists of 4 incredibly talented and motivated young men hailing from Los Angeles, CA. Mike comes from New York, but presumably decided the weather on the west coast was much more desirable than the environment of his upbringing. Chris was displaced from New Orleans, LA in 2005 by that bitch Katrina and from his connections in Los Angeles which he had established working on films while still in cajun country he ended up on the west coast too. By chance and great fortune, Mike and Chris met Will and Jesse, who are both natives of the central coast of California.
For now, Will pays his bills by making incredible art, designs, layouts, and illustrations for one of the coolest magazines there is. It is a very nice asset for a band to have someone so graphically connected considering all the website, album artwork, flyer design, and t-shirt designs, that a band requires. And Will takes very nice photographs too.
Jesse is involved in creating some of the most outrageous and incredible videos ever created that are regularly featured on the small and big screen. Enough said.
You probably have seen Chris on TV or in a movie before, but I'll let you figure that one out.
Mike is the jack of all trades. He can build a house, tear it down, AND record music. The latter is what he did for the band on their latest creation known as "NOLENS VOLENS".
So with all 4 of these chaps incredible and envious abilities, (think Captain Planet theme song) combined they make up an incredible band they like to call "THE DEADLY SYNDROME". Now each of these guys alone are rad musicians, but together it is radness times 4. Luckily for all of YOU, they figured out they make pretty darn good music together.
Between doing uber cool things during the day, and making incredible tunes at night, The Deadly Syndrome are far ahead of the music business curve. Not only did they record and produce Nolens Volens on their own, they have now taken the initiative to release and distribute the record themselves as well. After talking to 428 labels, the guys decided it would be most lucrative to put their music out to the population of the world with out a label, all by themselves. They call it DIY 2.0.
One of the most difficult things when telling people about this band is describing their sound or giving comparisons to other bands. The obvious are The Decemberists, Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, even Coldplay. But none of these truly does justice for the joyful noise these guys create. But in reality, The Deadly Syndrome really stand in a league of their own with nowhere to go but up.
