The Brightlight Team is the musical result of Brendan Sharp and Sanj Kumar coming together via an advert in Johnny Roadhouse Music in Manchester in 2009. With interests in areas as diverse as architecture, aesthetics, fashion and critical theory aligned to their mutual love of electronic music, they were determined from the start to push the boundaries, cross and re-cross genres whilst still keeping their eyes on the mainstream.
Influenced by and including the likes of Juan Atkins, Massive Attack, Trentemoller, Henry Saiz, Robert Babicz, John Digweed and Nick Muir’s Bedrock releases, among their favourites; The Brightlight Team have spent a considerable amount of time and energy getting their sound right as well as keeping up to date with the latest developments in music technology and the global movement that is Electronic Dance Music and club culture.
Consequently, The Brightlight Team’s sound is as varied and eclectic as the influences that inform it; from ephemeral dreamy soundscapes to hard driving rhythms strongly suggestive of Berlin’s underground. As the duo succinctly state: “We are producers and performers and the one definitive quality that brings it all together is the theme of journey that marks the live performance. Where you start is definitely not where you shall end.”
This point is key to the ethos of The Brightlight Team, in both its productions and live performances.

Consider reducing the volumes of the leads and you need to bring in percussion such as hi hats, shakers etc - x - otherwise not a bad effort - listen to as many different types of EDM as you can

Hey Kiddo - this is Sanj - friend of Deano - the stabbing synth is nice as an opener, consider reducing the release and reverb, try and give it a more solid feel
