ARTIST: MOJO FILTER
TITLE: Vintage Edits Vol.1
LABEL: AOR disco
RELEASE DATE: (Feb ’12)
STYLE: Balearic/Folk/Cosmic/Disco/Electro

Fulfilling an insatiable appetite for a new-wave of slo-mo house and disco vibes, AOR are leading the way in unearthing those forgotten gems of old.
Whilst ever retaining the original feel, the infamous blog seeks to ‘revive’, ‘remix’ and ‘re-edit’ - updating them with complementary touches from modern producers du jour.
Since it launch in 2009, AOR have gained support and playlisting from Todd Terje, Pilooski, Greg Wilson, Rob Da Bank,The Magician and Prins Thomas and MIXMAG to name-drop a few.

This compilation features AOR veteran Mojo Filter and his unique brand of vintage Re-Edits that have seen recent support in both mainstream and underground dance veins the world over.

Taking influences from Techo, House and Disco, Mojo Filter has already found residence in the box of top D.j’s from Tom Middleton to Nick Warren with his inimitable blend of futuristic and retro sounds. “Making something sound familiar and yet strange has a certain appeal” he explains.. “Even more alluring is making something sound like it was produced 20 years ahead of it’s time 20 years ago”.

Fusing genres and mesmerizing dancefloors in enchanting locations is the essence of the Mojo Filter vintage experience.

Eddy Chemical recently tweeted the Bert Jansch edit and prompted a bonkers 18’000 downloads from 96 countries in 2 weeks. California Dreamin’ quickly found support with Ministry Radio and Richard Norris while the Neil Young edit was a firm favourite of Pocketknife and Cousin Cole – a pair to whom Mojo Filter and the AOR imprint owe much of it’s inspiration.

From Brian Eno to Johnny Cash, these edits have captured the original vibe of their creators whilst giving them a unique and heady dancefloor appeal. Festival highlights at Burning Man, Glastonbury and The Secret GardenParty have all been testimony to this new wave of edits giving depth and meaning to the spellbinding composition of Mojo Filter sets.

Limited Edition 12" to follow.
