Washington, D.C. – Today Tennessee taxpayers personally met with Senator Corker and Senator Alexander in Washington, D.C. to send a clear message: stop putting millionaires ahead of the middle class, end the tax breaks for the top 2%. For months, Republicans in Congress have held the middle-class hostage to tax cuts for the wealthiest two percent of Americans.

The group of Tennesseans at the meeting included wealthy long time Chattanooga resident Lenda Sherrell (now of Monteagle); veteran and single father Jason Gurchiek of Murfreesboro; Meechie Biggers of Lewisburg who cares for her mother on Medicare; and former small business owner, Donna Seely of Tullahoma.
