About

I am Matt Bowdler (aka The Unfinished), a British composer, producer and sound designer for film, games and television.

I specialise in creating bespoke music that blends modern cinematic orchestration with cutting edge electronica and atmospheric ethnic influences, and my music has already been featured on the BBC and Sky Sports. I’m also enjoying stepping into the world of game music, and am currently scoring the Unearthed game series.

With aims for 2013 to expand my production music portfolio, my music is already being licensed by quality music libraries such as Gargantuan and Felt Music. And I’m currently in negotiations with some more.

One of my great loves is collaboration and this last year has provided me with wonderful opportunities to collaborate with, and produce for, world class artists such as Tina Guo, Deane Ogden and Dominik Johnson. I also regularly beta test and write demo tracks for some great sample library developers such as Sonokinetic, Impact Soundworks, Precisionsound and Hybrid Two.

Alongside writing and producing music, I have also fallen in love with the art of sound design, which I release commercially under the name of The Unfinished. I have produced bespoke synth sound collections for a number of composers.

My commercial synth sound collections and sample libraries are being used all over the world in major feature films, AAA game soundtracks and hit US television shows, which is tremendously rewarding.
