The Tragicov family hails from three main sites: the White Sea, the Black Sea, and that infamous sector of Romania we call Transylvania.  It's said that early shamans became part of the Russian branches of the Tragicov Family Tree long ago, and that vampiric and other supernatural forces infiltrated the Romanian factions of the clan along the way, as well... The three Tragicov siblings who comprise the Tragic Clowns, however, neither confirm nor deny any such rumors…

Steven, Stacy, and Sasha Tragicov all emerged out of the short-lived but highly influential Death-Folk movement that flourished within the San Francisco Bay Area music scene around the advent of the new millennium.  This was a dizzying era of prodigious creativity, and the future T-Clowns were members of various celebrated Death-Folk acts, including such scene luminaries as Corpus Callosum, the Tatter Tots, Phlogiston, and Loops spooL.  Several years after the death of Death-Folk, the trio gathered their focus, shortened their surname to "Tragic," formed the Tragic Clowns, and have now put the final touches on their debut album, “Try This At Home!”  Evoking modern alternative and classic guitar rock, power-pop and glam, the Tragic Clowns wish to entertain, intrigue, inspire, and empower…
