After forming in the fall of 2009, The Okay Cars remained a two-piece for nearly two years. During this time a brief, but eye-opening tour of a lot of Tokyo clubs was had. Writing songs with exceedingly low quality drum-machined loops eventually grew tedious and retaining actual hands clasping actual wood that would smash actual skins became a priority. In equal portions influenced by 80's minimal synth coldness and elements of flat-out 90's laxness, they tumble into strange territory, often causing prolonged bouts vocoder mania and massive journeys into saw and sin wave form synth territory. Currently, The Okay Cars are Brad Quinn (vocals/guitar), James Dewberry (drums) and Lars Berry (synths/sequences/vocals).
