The Northwestern Series is an independent record label based in Manchester, England. We have no particular manifesto or mission, except to release the sorts of albums we want in our own record collections. All our releases are in strictly limited editions of between 100 and 400 numbered copies and include collaborations and compilations specifically commissioned by the label. The releases are housed in cardboard cartons manufactured from handmade card. The cartons contain inserts that are risograph printed on recycled card using soya ink, with artwork by some of out favourite designers and artists. We will initially be releasing around six albums a year that will be available individually or by subscription. Whilst we already have enough releases planned to keep us going for the next couple of years, we will listen avidly to any unsolicited submissions, working on the basis that you'll only send us material if you think your music is compatible with the Northwestern approach, more details of which can be found by listening to our releases or by visiting the 'oddments' page of our website.
