Nobody knows from whence they came, their origin, their existence, their sexuality. Some say they were borne from the seed of the aged lemon-ganja shrub, beneath the burning bush from whence Moses received the ten commandments with such good grace. Others say that they were never borne, they came into existance, beings of pure light and smoke. Some say that if you gander into a rainbow on a bright and sunny summers afternoon, in Avalon, you can see the tip of their pipes and hats, and the sweet yellow zest of their lemons, poking out from the tip of their tinwhistles. But one thing is indeed for certain, they are here, they are among us, and they will never surrender their pipes, whistle or not.
