The Elevator Conspiracy is an East Lansing, MI-based jam band that consists of Will Jurkiewicz on drums, Rick Wyble on bass, Matt Borghi on guitar, and Laura Kennell on vocals and keys. Formed in late 2008, The Elevator Conspiracy fuses their interests in free jazz, R&B, exotica, lounge, bossa nova, ambient, garage rock, downtempo, acid jazz, and 70's AM radio into a dynamic sound of rich rhythms, vibrant textures, and spontaneous delights. The Elevator Conspiracy were discovered in the cushion crack of a sparkly vinyl bar booth as Don Draper searched for his Cadillac keys. They had been subsisting on maraschino cherries and free jazz--ElCon, that is...keys don't need food. Now they feed on metro Lansing, or vice versa, depending on your view of art.
