Chopshop Music was founded in 2009 by Greek based DJ Butcher -a purveyor of disco, funk and hip-hop- with a mission to revive and create modern takes on old school sounds. Chopshop started with vinyl and slowly moved on to digital releases and in early 2013 expanded with Undercover Operations, a sister label to include a variety of releases and artists. The labels move in a wide musical spectrum and have set the tone on an international level with their contemporary yet respective to the old approach. The labels’ roster represent a mixture of up-coming and esteemed artists like Groove Armada, Greg Wilson, Rayko, Ilya Santana, Yam Who?, Palov & Mishkin, Discotech, DJ Agent 86 and many others. Driven by the passion for good music and audible pleasure the future sees a series of collaborations with talented people and sets high quality standards for new releases.
