Need a gift for a gifted musician?
In the 60s, a man arose. A man who fought against the apartheid in the United States. A man who was cold-bloodedly killed by racists on that infamous 4th of April, 1968.
Martin Luther King had a dream. He dreamt about equal civil rights irrespective of the color of skin. Still millions of people have that dream.
The 4th of April is a band honoring Martin Luther King. The band formed in the late 80s in the region Arnhem-Nijmegen in the Netherlands. The 4th of April's melodic music style is difficult to classify. "Rock'n'Roll Rock - We don't know what it is, but we like it." After 20 years of silence (study, work, family), the band are now back again.
The 4th of April are: Birdman (a.k.a. Bert Boerma): guitar; Lukovski (Luuk van Beers): bass; Fred (Erik Hendriksen): drums; Richieboy (Richard Lekkerkerk): keyboards; and Hayoman (the unpronounceable Hajo Rijgersberg): vocals.
