About
TFHATS is the artist name of Dutch producer Camiel Munier. At a young age he already developed an obsession for synthesizers when he listened to music by JM Jarre, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode.
It wasn’t until he discovered Ableton Live that he began to build up his studio and started to produce electronic music. TFHats uses hardware (Juno 60, SH101, MS2000 and CZ5000) and software and creates mixes in the box.
TFHats has made several contributions to the annual Dirty forum compilations:
2007: Dreamgirl, I'm desperate for you (http://www.archive.org/details/DreamgirlImDesperateForYou2007)
2008: Evidence of Autumn (http://www.archive.org/details/EvidenceOfAutumn2008)
2009: Sweet in Winter, Sweet in Rain (http://www.archive.org/details/SweetInWinterSweetInRain2009)

and has his own podcast on http://dirtyradio/org called Audio in Distress (http://dirtyradio.org/podcasts/audioindistress)
In October 2010 TFHats contributed two remixes for 'One size fits all : the remix album' by Electric Alleycat (http://www.wharfrecords.com/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=43)
In 2011 the track F-Machine got voted as best track in DJ Broadcast’s audiobot competition. In the same year Dave Clarke played three times a TFHats track in White Noise.
Dave Clarke : “Again, an amazing track” - “Sounds really splendid, I’m sure you agree” - Future Music : “Takes us right back to good old days of wading around a field looking for a portaloo. Yeah!!” – “More to your retro brains!”
