Tetrahedron is comprised of solo artist Quinn Luberecki of Portland, Oregon. Quinn has been writing music for approximately ten years, beginning with the piano. After his start on the piano, Quinn picked up his dad’s old Yamaha guitar, and from there his interest broadened and he began private lessons.
Initially, Quinn says, the band Tetrahedron was intended merely as a creative outlet with which to experiment in new musical styles. “I didn’t intend on having it go anywhere,” he says, “but I loved the style and so I kept it going.” Over the past few months, Quinn has begun to carve a niche for himself as an original indie electro-pop artist. Quinn cites groups like STRFKR, Geographer, Crystal Castles, and Stepdad among his influences. Certain of his songs have been compared to other groups by close friends of Quinn’s; for instance, “On My Head” has been described as reminiscent of “Pumped Up Kicks” by Foster the People, and “Cloudburst” – among other Tetrahedron tracks – has been compared to MGMT’s “Kids”. Down-to-earth lyrics meld with echoing, breathy vocals to generate tunes that will both haunt and make people smile. The music of Tetrahedron has developed into the poignant, playful, and occasionally quirky sound that he hopes new listeners will come to recognize and appreciate.
The music from his debut album, Bermuda, was recorded and mixed entirely using the GarageBand app on his iPhone. In posting all his tracks online, Quinn has garnered an enthusiastic Internet following.
Quinn extends his gratitude to all his friends, family, and newfound fans for their continued support over the years. He looks forward to further pursuit of his passion in the years to come.
