About
As a producer, Terry Tu focuses on creating house, techno, electronica, ambient, and sub-genres. He studied sound design for 4 years, which helped with building up his own taste and unique understanding of sound. He began producing music since 2003.
When djing, his style of music matured over the years into a wonderful and extremely groovy melting pot of deep, dubby and atmospheric sound. No matter what genre he plays, he always magically comes up with a harmonic set. He is keen on high quality sound.
In 2007, he founded Acupuncture Records in Beijing with other friends, which in two years has greatly developed the audience and improved the scene. In 2008, his debut EP “Ebb” was released under his label, which signified deep house music officially born in China. In 2009, as the co-founder of Acupuncture Records, he organized the biggest dance music festival in China, Intro 2009; then made a successful tour around China, and expanded the scene from Beijing to a wider range; in October, he played at Tresor Club and Arena Berlin, and rocked the city with Berlin crowd; furthermore, considered as the only artist in China who can warm up for alva noto, he opened the night with his cool tasty ambient music for Unitxt’s special Chinese premiere. In 2010, his remix for Italoboyz’s “Chinese” was released under Claude VonStroke’s label Mothership Music, and the EP “Moment” was released under Acupuncture Records.
In 2011, he left Acupuncture Records to start his new journey of music and life.
