Debut album "Rituals" OUT NOW in Europe - April 16th in the US & Canada: http://bit.ly/RitualsAlbum
A rough jostle, countless grazes, and the beauty of a summer storm, tremendous, intense and unstoppable. This is Team Ghost. But before the beginning of this epic adventure of rock and blood, Nicolas Fromageau was - alongside Anthony Gonzales - half of the duo M83, one of the best bands from the post French touch electro scene. At the dawn of the third album, he left both the band and his hometown of Antibes. In Paris with the help of Jean-Philippe Talaga (former manager of Gooom Disques) and bandmate Christophe Guérin, he founded Team Ghost. First act to be coined as “cold gaze” by the NME (for their mixture of cold wave an shoegaze), Team Ghost released the atmospheric and spontaneous EP You Never Did Anything Wrong to Me through the English label Sonic Cathedral. In fall 2010 follows the EP Celebrate What You Can't See produced by Villeneuve. This collaboration resulted in a symbiotic friendship and deep musical understanding leading Benoît de Villeneuve to join the band as composer together with bassist Pierre Blanc and drummer Félix Delacroix. The five of them decided to sign to Disque Primeur and to record Team Ghost’s debut album, live in the legendary Vega studio in Carpentras. Surly guitar riffs, dark drums and meticulous production: every song of Rituals imposes its impetuous character, individual strength, as well as an overall cohesion. The faint-hearted will not survive the most beautiful musical earthquake of 2012; a wave shock for all of the half deadened ears and souls around. Team Ghost is certainly not one of these bands you can just play in the background, and may very well disrupt our comfort, rituals and habits.
